Review This HauntI got the Spooks
This was my first time going and I to scared very well. My friend has been going for 6 years and still got scared as well. It was interesting going through small places and going through the railing where there is optical illusion around you. Strobe lights were cool but too much. The front does not get scared more of the middle and back people so going with 2-3 is better than 5-6 . I will go back again! Worth the money since you are there for an hour or more

I was taken by surprise as I just don't get scared easily. But at dungeon of doom it was the only feeling I had from start to finish, the creepy eerie feeling. Great presentation and hats off to the actors, animatronics, visual and strobe lights, props, costume and makeup artist. There were amazing live actions. We did the blackout night and it added to the thrill as we found ourselves in long pathways were you need to duck, crawl and squeeze in the dark with characters popping out at every instance to scare you. Thrilling and amusing…. Will be back again.

Email Verified Scary and fun experience
It was one of the huge haunts I’d ever visited. The Gateway was scary and gave a prelude to what to expect as you move inside further. The quality and originality of special effects stood out. Special mention to highly detailed sets with attention to details, creative visual illusions, impressive animatronic beasts that will scare the daylight out of you, horrific environmental barrages, and great sound effects. If to mention one special effect of note, in one place, the floor actually seemed to have moved startling us off our foot. The costumes of actors looked real. The clowns, which are commonplace in most haunts, looked very original here. Makeup and masks were top-notch. The actors also knew how to scare you out of your wits. Overall, it was a scary and fun experience.

I and my BF visited this haunt on a weekend. The special effects really scared me out of my wits. We encountered visual illusions, scary animatronics, and grotesque looking scary actors at every corner of the haunt. At least couple of times, I screamed and jumped. The attention to details in set design was commendable. Sound effects, especially the ‘original soundtrack’, with its effective use of high and low sounds was impressive to say the least. Ticket prices were reasonable. Recommend this place to everyone.
Scare Factor: Fun Factor: Haunt Value: Email Verified scary weekend fun
Was exasperated and exhausted at the end of it all after exploring the 40000 sq ft and more. It was divided into various houses with different themes. You want to be buried alive, experience that at dungeon of doom. One hour of horror and as we used the VIP pass got to experience that first hand. Each year it comes with lots of twists and surprises. Actors were brilliant and they do not get too interactive with you. A great way to spend a scary weekend… will not miss this.

Full of scary animatronics and fearsome clowns
Huge! This is what my wife said about DOD. You have lots of distance to cover and equally more number of scares to encounter. You can’t say from which direction the actors will appear to scare you. Special effects and sounds were creatively used to freak out the visitors. There were scary animatronics and fearsome clowns that looked real. The costumes and makeup of actors were realistic enough to make you skip a beat. The use of scents I select places was innovative I would say. The customer service was impressive too. I will come again with my wife.
Scare Factor: Fun Factor: Haunt Value: Email Verified Big haunt with lots of scares!!
It was a big haunt with lots of scares, animatronics, special effects and real looking scary characters roaming around. The costumes, makeup and masks of the actors looked real and original. The actors utilised hiding spots and distraction scares to get you flawlessly. There were visual illusions that will take you by surprise. The floor moving from under the feet startled my wife to the extent that she started screaming. Original soundtrack provides one of a sound effect. I would love to come again, perhaps with my friends.

Scare Factor: Fun Factor: Haunt Value: Email Verified Got creepier than ever
Creepy haunt and it gets creepier as you explore. One of the biggest I have ever visited. Getting buried alive, blacked out maze and the attic were all cool. This absolutely nit for the ones who are claustrophobic and the weak heart. It was an hour long and seriously I was hoping it would be over soon. I went on a day session and had a fantastic time. All of us got the opportunity to do the buried alive haunt and it was the toughest of them all. Quite a unique theme and confining to tight space with one another person is not what I had expected to do. All the haunts were interactive and engaging. Interestingly I was asked to press a button or say a number or callout names. Definitely recommend… see you soon.
Scare Factor: Fun Factor: Haunt Value: Email Verified Creepy Characters
Characters in Dungeon Doom were really creepy. The Hade’s Broiler Room was a different experience altogether. Hade was very spooky character. Special effects were awesome. There was a lot of animatronics too to scare you on the way. Walk through the dark narrow corridors of the house was very frightening. The line was too long. But the visit was worth the wait.

Scare after scare
Clearly, one of the best haunts in Illinois. My heart was pounding as scare after scare startles you off your feet at every corner.. the actors’ performance and makeup was topnotch.. the attention to detail was good as well. Buried alive nearly had me had a panic attack… my kid was screaming throughout. Looking back, it was total fun.. the ticket rates were reasonable as well, given the scare you get.

Email Verified Disappointed
The creativity was good but they were just rushing people through. So we didn’t get what we paid for. Won’t go back next year.

Email Verified Terrifying Experience
Terrifying experience!!! I with a group of friends went to Legendary Dungeon Doom to celebrate the weekend and it turned out to be a great experience. The terror starts with Buried Dead or Alive. It got some creepy characters that could freak you out. The 5 way Gate Way Portals was equally terrifying. The scariest part in the entire haunt was the Doom’s Underworld. The sets were realistic ones and our visit lasted about 1 hour. The entire time we spent there was really enjoyable. We will be back.
