There are several spots at this college that are rumored to be haunted. One of them is Adams' Arch, the only part left of the original campus, which has the sounds of a young woman laughing late at night. A man who committed suicide is said to haunt Talcott Hall and the Burpee Building. The man who designed the Clarks Art Center lingers the building and is known to make the lights flicker and play piano music, among other tricks. McGaw Hall is haunted by the ghost of a girl who died in a bathtub during an eplileptic seizure. Witnesses have claimed to hear a girl singing here and a man's garbled voice. Objects have also moved on their own in other parts of the hall.

Children Laughing

While I was a student there, after one of my classes, I walked past the arch and heard children laughing. Never could walk past the arch after that.

Rockford University

I went to Rockford University in 14-15 and that whole campus was haunted. Went down to Jane Addams arch one night, a girl in our group walked down the path to the arch with her phone recorder and started asking questions. She came back claiming she heard nothing, but when we listened to the recording, one of her questions was "can you laugh for us" and we could all clearly hear a girl give a faint "ha ha" into the recorder.
I played basketball so the men and women's teams stayed on campus over Christmas break. Players from each team lived in separate dorms, so there were rooms occupied but most were empty. One night I can hear a chair and sounded like the bed being moved across the floor in the room above me. Of course the owner of that room was gone for break.
Another time over break, I'm playing Xbox with my teammate, just us in our section of the dorm. His room was at the end of the hall next time a stairwell. We heard someone sprinting a few feet from our doorway and down the stairwell slamming the door behind them. We didn't think much of it then about 5 minutes later, His radio started playing music and his radio was not plugged in at all. Also my phone at the time was dead when I next checked it and I remembered having around 25% battery left when I got to his room.
And one last story, my friends were down in the art center one night just walking around. I guess there's a few basement floors below and they came across an old theater room with an older looking lady sitting there and she was watching a blank white screen from the projector. The boys kind of peaked in through the doorway and without turned they hear her ask "gentlemen, whatre you doing down here?". They immediately turned around and thought they should leave. I guess they had to walk past that same theater room after a few attempts to find a way out and they said the projector was still rolling but they didn't see anyone in the room anymore.
Obviously I'm no expert and these all could just be a coincidence but just sharing my knowledge and experiences! Crazy place I definitely recommend checking out if you're able. There's something on that campus and it doesn't take long to find

McGaw Hall was torn down in 2014.

McGaw Hall was torn down in 2014; I'm not sure if that would have let the girl's spirit free.

I could understand Toby haunting Talcott Hall. That was our dorm. But why Burpee Center?
