This 19th Century building was once a opera house that served many purposes over the years including stores, housing and of course, a theater. The theater has been known to be haunted when a volunteer of the Vermilion Heritage Foundation accidentally recorded eerie sounds that took place in the projection room. The location has also been investigated by Springfield Ghost Society, who claimed to see shadowy figures and heard strange sounds. The theater was also added to the List of Registered Historic Places in Illinois.
