This cemetery was established in 1857. It is the final resting place for many Ilinois' pioneers and early leaders, but it is popularly known as haunted. Many know of the weeping Greenwood Bride and the spirits of Confederate soldiers who reside here. In addition to ghost lights being seen from the cemetery's southern border, many also say they've been confronted by the spirits of Confederate soldiers.
