Water Tower
Chicago, IL 60611
This tower dates back to 1869 and is one of the symbols of Old Chicago. It was built for use in firefighting and is believed to be haunted by a man who died in the Chicago Fire of 1871. Instead of running, the man stayed to man the pumps and when the fire got too close, stories say the man chose to hang himself instead of being burned to death. His shadowy figure can sometimes be seen through one of the upstairs windows.

First time approaching this structure ever I Saw the hangman in the window little man and disheveled dirty clothes and hair. Slightly out of focus like most supernatural is.. thank you for not calling the tower iconic. I'm tired of that word iconic ????
