Blood’s Point Cemetery
Flora, IL 62839
This cemetery was named after the area's first white settle, Arthur Blood, and it is known to be a hot spot for paranormal activity. Occurrences reported here are orbs, a vanishing barn, phantom vehicles and a ghost dog with glowing red eyes. A school bus accident took place at the nearby railroad bridge, which was also the location of several hangings. Ghostly children's laughter can sometimes be heard along with electrical anomalies.

My friends and i went to Bloods Point Bridge and Cemetery in Belvidere, Illinois. The story goes that in the 1800s, a witch named Beulah sacrificed her two children to the devil by unaliving them off the bridge. Soon after, the townspeople chased her to the same spot and unalived her in the same way.
The spirit box didn’t pick up much activity on the bridge, and we didn’t bring out the REM pod since it was too wet and snowy. We then went to the cemetery, and that’s when things started to pick up. The spirit box began giving direct responses, saying the witch’s name “Beulah” three different times.
The spirits in the cemetery didn’t seem to like our REM pod. When we were explaining how to use it, the spirit box responded with “No,” “Take it away,” and even called it a “talisman.” After the spirit box started mentioning the witch, we heard loud rustling and movement coming from the trees just outside the cemetery. That’s when I took a picture—where there appears to be a figure in the same area where we heard the sounds.

Being a resident of Flora, IL, this cemetery is NOT in the city of Flora. It is actually located in Flora Township, Boone County, near Rockford! Hope this helps anyone searching for Blood’s Cemetery.

My best friend and I have been here multiple times, to the cemetery and the railroad bridge. During the day and night, walked through the cemetery. It is really spooky during the night, and just a little bit creepy during the day. It's a really pretty cemetery but there doesn't seem to be much there in the "haunted" department. It's still really cool, and is still worth the time to just take a look.
