We are from Europe, on a month-long US trip. Our friend here took us to The Basement of the Dead, and it was amazing. The haunted house had lots of robots and cool special effects. Great customer service as well. We would certainly recommend this place to all.

Would totally recommend going!!! There were lots of scares and cool special effects. It keeps you guessing so that you can't anticipate what is waiting for you ahead. A few times I really had my heart in my mouth lol

Scared me to death! A bit expensive but the houses are huge and very detailed. The attractions were elaborate and intense scary. Definitely going again and bringing more friends.

Terrific haunt. An intense scary experience for adults and teens. Definitely not for young children.Truly worthy of 5 stars!

Got spooked so many times!!! Always someone waiting around the corner to scare you! It was scary and was fun enough to make me want to return.

This is one of my favorite haunt houses. The waiting area was like a party hub. Enjoyed the evening with a lot of photo ops and can also shake a leg with the zombies. Had time to visit all the haunts and entertainment kiosks and we tried out everything inside the house, including the laser tag. The staff was friendly and polite. The actors were thorough with how to scare people and were quite energetic. No regrets in repeating their horrible cruel act to how many ever people. It was an evening well spent.

I was always fascinated by haunted houses. That was the main reason why I and wife decided to visit Basement of the Dead. We had a great time there. Great props, animatronics, and professional actors who would make the life difficult for the visitors. The 3D haunt was awesome freaky. You got to walk a bit through the haunted house to get to the escape room. The puzzle was challenging, but not much of any story involved. Ticket prices were reasonable. Check it out if you love haunted houses.

I and 8 of my family members visited the Basement. We had a great scary time there. Nice props and animatronics. The actors did a great job scaring the crap out of most of us. My nieces were screaming throughout. The haunted house was spooky and long. It was also pretty dark in places. The 3D haunt was good, but more actors would have made it still better. Escape room was exciting for the kids. We managed to find out way out just in time. We also got to meet the owner of the haunt. Overall, a haunt worth checking out.

The haunted house had lots of good bone chilling scares that made us scream. Each haunt had a very strong story line and it ran through the entire house with actors complimenting it well. It was hard to judge from where you get the next scare. Escape room was not that easy. We put our heads together to solve the puzzles and get the clues. Definitely the most terrifying experience…it shivered my nerves out!!

I went here last night with a group of friends and had an awesome time with the monsters in the haunted house. The entertainment was full on and it started right from the waiting area. There are tons of actors and they fill up the entire haunt from the waiting area to the inside. With characters like serpent and chainsaw, there was enough of entertainment that made us forget the boring task of waiting in the line. The haunts were great and engaging. The actors were interactive as well as funny. Like in a horror movie. We loved it and will continue to visit.

It was a great experience to say the least. One of the best haunted houses I visited of late. It had all.. Enthusiastic actors hell bent on scaring you, great animatronics (rather plenty of them), and sets laid out with great attention to detail. Everything was realistic down to the minute details. The 3D clown experience was terrifying. The haunted houses had a great deal of mind numbing scares. I would recommend this place to all.

We went with a VIP pass and waited in line for just 30 minutes. The place was great and the 3D haunt was exceptionally wonderful. The zombie carnival was outstanding, there were enough zombies in various costumes and the actors were in the character throughout the carnival. There was free parking facility and the atmosphere evoked curiosity. There are large tents with actors putting up an amazing show. Looking forward to have wonderful time again.

The haunted houses were well designed, had multiple scares and professional actors. The 3D experience was frightening. Queues were a bit long for my comfort. I was near the front end of our group. So got to enjoy the scares in its full intensity. Escape room puzzle was a bit difficult. Props and animatronics were impressive.

Super Scary. I had a blast with my friends at this place. It all started with a strong strength to fight against the fear, but the actors did a phenomenal task. Impressed by their costumes and equipment’s they were holding. We all got spooked and one of my best buddies never left me and help up my t-shirt till the end. Queues were long, so grab a fast pass ticket to skip the line. We had the general admission tickets. Overall, a lifetime experience and we’ll definitely come back.

We drove almost 3 ½ hours to the Basement of Dead Haunted House, expecting a very good scare. The visit was beyond our expectations. The outdoor venue was absolutely beautiful. They had 2 different houses to walk through and both of them had startling scares and props. One among the houses was in 3D, which was a different experience for us. The serpent creature was a frightening character. The attention to detail in the sets was impressive. Staff were helpful. We had a great time at the Basement.

Full of horror and terrifying stuffs to be explored. Skilled actors and friendly staffs. Enjoyed the DJ, while standing in the queue for half an hour. Atmosphere was thrilling. I’m surely visiting again.

Scary to the hilt. Usually I don’t get scared in haunted houses. But this one was different. The DJ played for the visitors waiting in the line...it helped kill boredom. The Zombie hunt was fun. We also did the Trauma Escape room and after much brain scratching, we made it out just in time. My favourite was the clowns. The ticket rates were reasonable. Check this place out if love good scares.

A full stack of inveterate actors underpinned by special effects and animatronics was delivered on me last weekend. Amazing experience, I think a new horror one. The maze was portrayed similar to horror movies and darkness was damn cool with steep stairs and costumes of ghosts did the rest. All in all, a wonderful experience of non-stop attacks!

I think a lot of effort has been put into the design of the sets. Queue actors were really creepy. The 3D haunt was mind-blowing.. the chroma depth painting in the walls as well as the floors were amazing to say the least. There were plenty of hidden scares at every corner of the house. Maze trail was very frightening as well as confusing in places. Character Joe and the ice-cream clown were very spooky. Overall, I and my GF had a great time there. I will recommend this house to everyone.

Got there and stuck in the queue for an hour. But, there were actors who were entertaining us and length of stay inside the house was also pushing the queue to wait longer. We spent an hour inside the house, full of terror, attacks by actors and scary sounds. We screamed a hell lot. Kudos to Basement of the Dead Haunted House.

True to its name. Unique maze with spooky scariness all the time brings the best Halloween experience. All the actors did the perfect job and screaming was a kind of normal for me. Great work team!

Totally sucks! Visited with my family expecting a great fun and scary night. But we were sent in with a group of some disrespectful teenagers and they ruined the whole experience.

The scariest part was the 2 hour line to get in. The buildup was more fun than the house itself. Never going again.

I am rating them three stars. The whole set up was great…the special effects and costumes were good. But they haven’t given enough training for the actors. There were several missed opportunities to scare people.

The Chicago Tribune and Hauntworld were right in ranking Basement/Shattered #1 in 2013. Not for the faint of heart and it was the scariest haunted house I have been to.

This place is awesome, safe, and very scary. Plus did I mention you can do it in 3D!!! WORTH EVERY PENNY. short lines, snacks and drinks, never before seen effects. Highly recommended.
