Dwight Harvest Days Annual Parade is led by thousands of Basset hounds and their owners from around the world. This is a sight that one must see in person at least once in their lifetime! The parade is loaded with bands from area high schools as well as floats and vehicles representing numerous organizations from various locations within the state of Illinois.

The event was to be held on every third weekend of September each year. Crafts, flea markets, kiddie attractions, downtown entertainment, parade and band competition are the highlights of the weekend, attracting over 10,000 people each year.
