Since 2003, the Oak Brook Park District has transformed the pathways of Central Park and led thousands of innocent spectators through the most haunted corners of Oak Brook. The Haunted Forest event will once again feature a spectacularly spooky 10,000+ square foot haunted maze along with several new festive features. Parental discretion is advised for thrill seekers under 10 as music, light, fog, strobe lights and creepy characters will all be in close proximity in the maze. For those looking for a lighter dose of Halloween hijinks, Haunted Forest also features a pumpkin patch, face painting, fireside storytelling, candy in the haystack, a craft corner, and tractor pulled hayrides. Concessions will be available onsite for purchase.
Thursday night only! Bring your little thrill-seeker out to experience Oak Brook’s spectacular haunted maze! You can make your way through the maze as many times as you’d like, in the daylight! Scary scenes will be set up, but there will be no actors or spooky special effects. The maze walks will be the only activity available. All other features will open Friday night.

Review This HauntGood scares
Me, the wife, and kids and nephews drove for more than an hour to reach the haunt. We all had a ok time in there. It had some good scares. However, there wasn't any actors jumping out to throw maze-goers off track like I've seen in some other Halloween events. In that sense, it was kid friendly i guess. The food outside was good though. The haunt was not priced too high at least.

We had a great time. Navigating the 10,000 sqft haunted maze that twists its way into the forest was an awesome experience. Great place to have fun and get scared! 5 stars, we would recommend.

Have been going there for 3 years in a row. Lots of new things were added since my last visit here. The hayride through Central Park's haunted forest was great fun. The staff was friendly as always.

A great place to visit during Halloween time for both adults and kids. A little scary and so much laughs. The props, costumes and actors were incredible! For the price of the general admission it is worth it. My kids can't wait to go back.

I and kids had an awesome time at Haunted Forest. The haunted maze was well designed with lots of scares, props, and special effects. many of the scares actually startled the adults. A kid friendly haunt worth checking out.

There was so much more to this event than I expected! First, it's affordable so don't go buying tons of tickets right away. The maze is only 5 tickets to get in, other activities are 1-4 tickets, and there are some free activities too! Don't buy more tickets than you need, you can always go back for more. The maze is big and challenging with just enough scare around the corners to make it fun. The "actors" are all volunteers from the local high schools and they did an incredible job. The gatekeeper let my 3 year old into the maze for free. He didn't make it past the first turn, when we came back to the entrance she pointed out that they had a free (SUPERVISED) little babysitting corner where he could stay while we went through. He colored with a few other kids for about 10-15 minutes as we made our way through the maze. The sound effects, lighting, and fog were just disorienting enough to add some thrill. At one point the maze broke out into a wooded path (spoiler alert: chainsaw). Once we got out, we headed to a cute pumpkin patch with the little guy, took a non-haunted hayride (the line was long for that one), bounced in the bounce house, and sat for a fun spooky fireside story. We are definitely going back this year.
